Policy & Global Development

In 2022, we consolidated our platform in Morocco, with the development of research projects (Neosonics), training (European SAFE consortium) and activities related to the Mediterranean Health Observatory, including training workshops for migrant women, technical assistance to the Ministry of Health on food safety, and hospital collaborations to assess antimicrobial resistance. We are also supporting the Ibero-American Epidemiological Observatory, which was launched in 2021.

We continued to drive forward the 2030 Agenda through our participation in several debate forums and our regular contribution to organisations such as the Barcelona City Council, the Catalonia 2030 Alliance and the Spanish Council for Sustainable Development. In Colombia, we launched the AVANTIA project, co-funded by the EU, to achieve a more sustainable, better connected and more gender-equitable Bogotá.

Policy activities included a number of policy briefs and papers on COVID-19 response and other topics, including preparedness. On the latter, we organised a workshop with international experts and started work on two new projects directly related to preparedness (PANTHER and END-VOC).
