Initiatives
Our Chagas Initiative continued its work to raise visibility and resources for the fight against this neglected disease. We continued our work in Paraguay, training 6o health professionals (AECID project) and launching a joint project with the PROBITAS Foundation to strengthen the diagnosis of Chagas and other prevalent diseases in the Presidente Hayes region. To this end, we equipped and expanded a laboratory in a rural area of the Paraguayan Chaco. We also participated as technical advisors in the Ibero-American Initiative on Congenital Chagas Disease (SEGIB).
